Cash Desk

How the Cash Desk module consolidates all gaming figures into a single theoretical and actual profit reconciliation to surface the overall gaming variance.

The Cash Desk module is the central reconciliation point for your venue's gaming operation. It brings together all of the individual gaming module figures — EGM clearance, CRT, AutoPay, ATM and prize payments — and calculates both the theoretical and actual gaming profit for the trading period. The difference between these two figures represents the overall gaming variance.

Theoretical Reconciliation

The theoretical reconciliation calculates your venue's theoretical gaming profit using the following figures:

  • Turnover — Total amount wagered on EGMs

  • Wins — Total payouts made to players

  • PKJP (Progressive Jackpot) — Progressive jackpot movements for the period

  • P2P (Points to Play) — Points accumulated during member EGM sessions converted to play credits

  • Unclaimed Movement — The daily net imbalance of unclaimed funds

Where a gaming platform integration is active, these figures will be auto-populated and indicated by the blue chain link icon. If the integration is not active or a figure needs to be overridden, click the chain link icon to switch to manual input and enter the figure from your gaming system report.

Actual Reconciliation

The actual reconciliation calculates your venue's actual gaming profit by working through cash in and cash out:

  • Cash In — Populated automatically from the total Actual Cash figure in the Poker Machine Clearance module.

  • Cancel Credit Payouts — Various payout types are entered here, including: CRT Payouts, Cash Drawer Payouts, PKJP Payouts, CRT Short Pays, and Slot/Hand Pays.

Where a gaming platform integration is active, some or all of these figures may be auto-populated. As with the theoretical reconciliation, click the chain link icon on any field to switch to manual input if needed.

Gaming Variance

Once both the theoretical and actual reconciliations are complete, TakeSheet calculates the Theoretical Profit and Actual Profit and displays the variance between the two in the footer of the Cash Desk module. The nominal difference between theoretical and actual profit represents unclaimed movements. Any variance outside of this should be investigated before the trading period is submitted for approval.

Note: The Cash Desk module should be completed after the Poker Machine Clearance, CRT, AutoPay and ATM modules — as figures from those modules flow directly into the Cash Desk calculation.
