CRT, AutoPay & ATM Reconciliation

How to reconcile cash redemption terminals, AutoPay devices and ATMs using TakeSheet's row-by-row reconciliation structure.

The CRT, AutoPay and ATM modules follow the same reconciliation structure in TakeSheet, with minor differences specific to each device type. Each module is designed to give your team a clear, row-by-row breakdown of every cash component within the device, making it straightforward to verify the position and identify any variances.

CRT & AutoPay

Each CRT and AutoPay device is listed individually in its respective module. The reconciliation table for each device includes the following row items:

  • Note Cassettes & Coin Hoppers — Each cassette and hopper is listed by denomination with a pre-set standard float total. This represents the starting float of the device.

  • Clearance — The amount of cash removed from the cassette or coin hopper during the trading period.

  • Replenishment — The amount of cash added back into the cassette or coin hopper to restore it to its operating balance.

  • Total — The sum of the standard float, clearance and replenishment figures for each row item, calculated automatically.

  • Note Stacker — The section of the device that collects tickets and notes that have been requested to be broken into smaller denominations.

  • Reject Stacker — The section of the device that collects damaged notes that are not fit for distribution.

  • CRT Payouts — The total amount paid out by the device during the trading period.

  • CRT Short Pays — Any amounts the device failed to pay out, most commonly caused by a depleted cassette or coin hopper leaving insufficient funds to complete a payout.

To reconcile the CRT or AutoPay, enter either the clearance or replenishment amounts for each cassette and hopper — depending on your venue's preference — along with the note stacker, reject stacker, CRT payouts and any short pays. TakeSheet will calculate the variance and display the consolidated totals in the footer of the module.

ATM

The ATM module follows the same structure as the CRT and AutoPay with two key differences:

  • ATMs have note cassettes only — there are no coin hoppers.

  • Most ATMs do not have a note stacker.

Where your ATM has TAB functionality enabled — allowing customers to withdraw and deposit funds into their TAB account directly through the ATM — the module includes additional fields for TAB Withdrawals and TAB Deposits. Enter these figures as shown on your ATM reconciliation report.

Clearance vs Replenishment

Your team can choose to reconcile each device using either the clearance figure — the cash removed — or the replenishment figure — the cash added back in. Both approaches are supported in TakeSheet and will produce the correct total when entered accurately. Use whichever method aligns with your venue's standard operating procedure.

Note: The AutoPay module follows exactly the same reconciliation process as the CRT module.
