The Poker Machine Clearance module is where each individual EGM is reconciled for the trading period. It compares the theoretical cash figure from the gaming system against the actual cash physically cleared from each machine, surfacing any variance at both the individual machine and total level.
What You'll See in the Module
Each EGM at your venue is listed as an individual row in the Poker Machine Clearance table. For each machine, the module displays:
Theoretical Cash — The cash figure the gaming system says should have been cleared from the machine. Where a gaming platform integration is active, this will be auto-populated and indicated by a blue chain link icon.
Actual Cash — The cash physically counted and cleared from the machine, entered by your team.
Variance — The difference between the Theoretical and Actual Cash figures, calculated automatically by TakeSheet.
The footer of the module displays consolidated totals for Theoretical Cash, Actual Cash and Variance across all machines — giving your team an overall view of the EGM clearance position for the trading period.
Completing the EGM Clearance
To reconcile the Poker Machine Clearance:
Navigate to the Poker Machine Clearance module for the current trading period.
For each EGM, verify the Theoretical Cash figure — if auto-populated via integration, confirm it looks correct. If it needs to be overridden, click the blue chain link icon to switch to manual input.
Enter the Actual Cash figure — the cash physically cleared from the machine.
TakeSheet will automatically calculate the Variance for each machine.
Review the variance for each machine and the consolidated totals in the footer.
Investigate any variances before proceeding to the Cash Desk module.
Note: The total Actual Cash figure from the Poker Machine Clearance module flows directly into the Cash Desk module as the Cash In figure for the Actual Reconciliation. Completing the Poker Machine Clearance accurately is essential before moving to the Cash Desk.
